Are your unfinished gourds cleaned before shipping?
Are your unfinished gourds cleaned before shipping?
Most of our gourds are carefully washed, cleaned, and fully cured — ready for crafting as soon as they arrive. We also carry a small selection of rustic, unwashed gourds, which are clearly noted in individual product descriptions.
Are your gourds ready for outdoor use?
Our raw gourds are craft ready but not outdoor sealed. If using outdoors, apply an exterior-grade sealer or varnish. All of our finished birdhouses have an outdoor sealer.
What does “craft ready” mean?
Craft ready means the gourds have been properly dried, cured, and cleaned so they are ready for painting, carving, wood burning, drilling, and other DIY projects.
Do you offer gourds in bulk for classes or large projects?
Yes. Many of our gourds are available in box quantities and bulk options, making them ideal for classrooms, workshops, and large craft projects. Contact us if you need assistance selecting the right size or quantity.
Where are your gourds grown?
Our gourds are grown in Pennsylvania, USA. Many are cultivated and dried by Amish farming families we’ve partnered with for over 25 years.
